Located in the lower level of the South Terminal is the Transportation Lobby. Passengers can obtain a rental car from the lobby, and take a shuttle to the car rental parking lot. Car rental companies that serve Anchorage International Airport include Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National, Payless, and Thrifty.
Public/Ground Transfer
Off-airport buses and hotel courtesy vans pickup passengers from the airport and transport them to various locations throughout the city. City buses make stops at the airport's drop-off and pick-up zones every 30 minutes. These zones are located on the lower level of the North and South Terminal buildings. Passengers can use telephones available in baggage claim to arrange a courtesy pick-up.

The pick-up and drop-off zones located on the lower level of both the South and North Terminal is the best place to find a taxi. Several taxi companies service the airport, and passengers can obtain a ride to local areas during all times of the day. Alaskan Cab and Checker Cab are available at both terminals. Taxi service is available outside the baggage claim in the South Terminal and outside the main lobby in the North Terminal.
