There are several parking options available for people visiting or traveling from Auckland International Airport. There are three short-term, one business short-term, and two long-term parking lots available. Metered parking is available for people who wish to park for less than 30 minutes so that they can drop off airline passengers. A parking rate calculator is available on the airport's Website.
Long Term Parking
Long-term parking is available in car park 5 and car park 6, which are located in the International Terminal. These spaces are for passengers who intend to park at the airport for more than just a few hours. Travelers who need to park for a few hours can use the short-term lots in the Domestic Terminal.
Discount Airport Parking
Parking in the long-term parking lots is slightly discounted from the rates charged in the short-term and short-term business lots. The tradeoff is that the long-term lots are further away from the airport than the short-term lots. However, there is a free shuttle available to transport passengers from the long-term lots to the terminals, making discounted parking an attractive option.
Handicapped Parking
Parking for travelers with a mobility card (the U.S. equivalent of a handicapped placard or license plate) is available in every parking lot. These specially-marked spaces are the ones that are located closest to the terminals in each parking lot. Disabled passengers can take the free airport shuttle from the long-term lots to the terminals.
