Charlotte International Airport is located approximately five miles from Uptown Charlotte and sits on the North Carolina-South Carolina border. Directions to Charlotte Airport

From I-485, take the Wilkinson Blvd./Highway 74 exit and travel about 1 1/2 miles on Highway 74 East. Turn right at the Wilkinson Blvd./Little Rock Road stoplight intersection. You will then pass the airport's Satellite Parking Lots. Next, turn left onto Old Dowd Road and follow the signs to the airport terminal.

From I-85, take Exit 33 to Billy Graham Parkway and travel about one and a half miles, exiting on Josh Birmingham Parkway at the sign denoting the Airport.

From I-77, take Exit 6B to Billy Graham Parkway and travel about five miles, exiting after the second traffic light at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport exit.

From Uptown Charlotte. take I-277 to I-77 South, take Exit 6B to Billy Graham Parkway and travel about five miles, exiting after the second traffic light at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport exit.

Main Terminal

The Main Terminal of Charlotte International Airport features two levels. The lower level contains baggage claim, car rental counters, international greeting area, and access to ground transportation. The upper level of the Main Terminal contains ticket counters, security checkpoints, and business center. All five concourses are located on the upper level. Concourse A contains gates A1 - A12 and serves American Eagle, American Connection, Air Canada, Airtran, Continental, Delta, Northwest, and United. Concourse B contains gates B1 - B16 and serves U.S Airways. Concourse C contains gates C2 - C12 and serves U.S. Airways. Concourse D contains gates D1 - D13 and serves U.S Airways, Jet Blue, and Lufthansa. Concourse E contains gates E1 - E26 and serves U.S Airways Express.
