Started out with a full gas tank which made bringing it back much easier

I booked a rental and set the pickup time through Kayak. There was zero mention of the hours for the pickup location and when I arrived at 5 (my scheduled time) I was unable to obtain the vehicle since it was closed. This required me to argue with enterprise on the phone to get the reservation cancelled, additional charges, and then I had to pay for Uber to drive me to the next rental car location which was 24 hours- that was a 3 hour Uber ride.

Car wasn’t even available They were sold out You sold a rental without having a car available I had to use Uber twice to get to the agency in Aliston for nothing. Waste of time and money Very poor service

Person at drop-off claiming to be the owner of the location - he did NOT give me his name - was incredibly intense and rude about having the car cleaned before drop off. The car was clean - we only used it for 6 hours - but he insisted we get it fully washed or we would be charged $450. As I tried to show how clean it was by pulling out the car mats, he touched me to pull me back from the car and told me to get off his lot. It was a terrible and intense 15 min experience and I believe I was trying to be taken advantage of (other people at drop off felt the same way). I eventually just asked for my receipt and he told me he wouldnt charge me the $450 after all. I think there may be some sort of scam (in concert with the carwash) going on or there is just something very different about this location. I will NEVER rent from there again and I may never rent from Avis again because of this experience.

I went to the rental location. I was told that they did not have any cars. While waiting for an uber to go back to the hotel, someone returned a car that was then provided to me. While all of this was happening, I asked to use the restroom and was told it was only for employees. When I was finalizing my rental agreement, another customer came in and asked for the restroom while he waited, and he was told it was ok to use it. So, why was a paying customer like myself denied the use of the restroom, and another paying customer was allowed to use it? Is it because I am hispanic? I was also charged an extra fee for the car, because I had reserved a compact car, and I got a full car. Was this my fault? That you ran out of inventory? I had to take the first car that came in!!!

When we arrived, they did not have the car we booked and claimed they never had it but never let us know. While not rude, they also did not seem to really be concerned about the issue either.

We rented a Ford Transit Van to carry the seven of us around Massachusetts during a seven day vacation. Best decision ever! Avis accommodated us above and beyond. Athough we picked the van up at Cambridge Street, we were provided the option to return it directly to the airport. This worked perfectly for our group. The van was clean and in great shape. More though, it got excellent gas mileage for us and was in great shape mechanically. Definitely ten stars for Avis!

I wasn’t actually able to rent with them. The man at the counter would not answer my questions, would not listen to what I was saying, and ultimately threw my card and ID at me and began ignoring me. I rented from dollar instead.

I had to wait for hours because the computers kept breaking down. I couldn’t drive the car for a full day because of this.

I put in for pick up at Logan. Without notice was moved to Cambridge. Had to call to fix my pick up location at a far greater cost. Dump CarRental.com and Allianz insurance.
