If enterprise would have gave me the price that was quoted to me. Im quite sure the price should have been on the reservation ...The deal was so good they didn't Believe it .. need a car so I had to get it. Don't get me wrong the staff was great just the price kept the car extra day let see credit

They adjusted the rental fees at the several problems wiere brought to their attention.

Cons:

Windshield was so dirty inside and outside that we had to buy glass cleaner and paper towels to clean it so we could see during the rain. Tire pressure in a one front tire was 39 lb should have been 32 - tire pressure in the rear tire was 26 lb -should have been 32. Car previously rented to a smoker and was not cleaned prior to renting it to us.

The original car had a nail in tire and tire pressure light came on so I took car back and they gave me a different vehicle. What’s strange is that the tire pressure light was on when I picked up the car so not sure if mail was in tire then.

Only down point, the car was not ready. Pick took 1/2 hour. Not the worse thing, but could be more prompt.

It was dirty, people were not wearing masks, and wasnt the friendliest group. Probably will not return to this location

Agent was very unhelpful - there was no car upon arrival and no estimated time for when a car would be available. We went to a competitor upon both agent and customer service recommendation.

Pros:

The Lynbrook location of the Avis counter was convenient for my stay on Long Island. They seemed to have plenty of cars and there was essentially no wait at the counter to get my car.

Cons:

The Avis office is in a dingy broken down building - no frills. The car was clean except for the interior windows which were filthy. Upon returning the car the Avis attendant must of noticed the filthy windows and even asked if I smoked in the car (I'm a non-smoker) and I informed her that that was the status of the windows when I rented the car just a few days earlier.

This was the first time renting a vehicle since before the pandemic. The young lady at the counter was super-professional, nice, and took the time to explain everything I needed to know to make the pickup very smooth. She did the very same at the drop-off. This Avis branch was wonderful and I highly recommend them to anyone in need of a rental. On a sour note (which has nothing to do with Avis or the personnel): I was ASTONISHED at the outrageously high price it cost to rent this vehicle! It came out to almost $200 a day! This car normally would be under $50 a day, including all the bells and whistles and insurances added on. I HAD to rent a car to visit a family member up in Connecticut, since the public train was an undesirable option in these times of COVID, and the timing and distance from the train station to their home was very far. Renting a car made the journey only about 2+ hours each way. A lot faster. So I hope I won’t be renting another car any time soon until these pandemic rates fall back down to normal. But be that as it may, in spite of all the negativity of the current health situation, this Avis dealership went out of their way to make me feel welcome and to make this experience ultimately a very positive one.

Van met our needs

Cons:

Van was not ready or clean at pickup time. Staff at counter forst told us that our credit score was not high enough to use debit card at that moment. If we did not carry another card we would have had to leave with no van.
