Ground transportation includes several reliable options depending on travelers' preferences. The Ground Transportation Services Office is located on the lower level of the main terminal (Bag Claim #1). The Office manages the parking services and ground transportation by providing information and answering questions; however, staff cannot make arrangements for you. Car Rental
A rental car facility operates off the Airport grounds outside the main terminal. A shuttle service operates every 365 days a year from 5:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. to take rental car customers to and from that facility, which takes about five to seven minutes. Major rental car agencies' telephone numbers are listed on the Airport site. Exit Door #5 of the Baggage Claim area to access shuttles at the lower roadway island.
Airport Shuttles
Several Cleveland-area hotels offer shuttle service to and from the Airport. The Sheraton Airport Hotel is on the Airport grounds, with a free shuttle located outside the lower Baggage Claim area. About 18 other hotels provide shuttle service that can be accessed in the same roadway island outside Doors #2 through #5 located outside the lower level Baggage Claims. Hotel courtesy phones can be found at the Traveler's Information Center boards near the lower level Exit door #2 and between Exit door's #5 and #6.
Limousine Services
At least 36 limousine services have permits authorizing them to wait for scheduled passenger pickups on the Airport grounds and are listed on the Airport's website. Other state-licensed limo services can be arranged, but they must have the obligatory permit. Travelers are responsible for arranging their own limo services.
Taxi Services
Taxi pickup is available outside Door #1 of the Baggage Claims level. Rates are meter-computed, starting at $2.80 for 1/16 of a mile or less and $.40 per each quarter-mile or less thereafter. Wait time is $.25 per minute or $15 per hour. The CLE website lists dispatch telephone numbers for seven taxi companies.
