General Mitchell Airport - MKE Parking

General Mitchell has a surprising number of parking options available for a mid-hub airport. The parking garage at the airport has hourly and daily parking areas available. Oversized vehicle parking and van/tall vehicle parking are available to make parking large vehicles easier. The Cellular Parking lot is where visitors picking up passengers may park and wait for a telephone call letting them know their passenger has arrived. Remote lots are also available for a discounted rate.

Long Term Parking

Daily parking in the parking garage is available for passengers who will be parking their vehicles long-term. The rate is a maximum of $11 per 24 hours. The surface parking lot has a daily maximum rate of $11. The remote lots at the airport offer discounted parking for travelers. The rate for remote lots is $8 per 24-hour period. Travelers using Amtrak may park in the Amtrak lot for $5 per day. Travelers must have Amtrak tickets or other proof of Amtrak use in order to park in this lot.

Discount Airport Parking

Discount airport parking is available in remote lots A and B. The rate is $8 per 24 hours, reduced from the $11 daily rate of the surface parking lot and parking garage. Free shuttle service is available 24 hours a day. Shuttles typically run every 10 to 15 minutes. This is a good option for travelers who will be parking for several days and don't mind taking extra time to ride the shuttle and get to the terminal building.

Handicapped Parking

The parking garage has designated parking spaces available for the disabled on floors 1, 3, and 5 in the daily parking area. The walkway from the garage to the terminal has a moving walkway, which means disabled people can use the walkway without having to walk a long distance. Handicapped parking spaces are available in the surface lot and remote lots as well. Most of the free shuttles are accessible; ask a driver if the shuttle you want to take is equipped with the kinds of accommodations you need in order to ride.
