Car Rental
Seven rental car agencies service New Orleans International Airport. These companies include Alamo, Avis, Budget, Enterprise, Hertz, National Car Rental, and Thrifty. Automobile rental is located on the lower level of the main terminal. Airline passengers can book car rental reservations in advance online or upon arrival at the airport.
Public/Ground Transfer
Jefferson Transit provides bus services from New Orleans International Airport to Downtown, and connects with other bus lines throughout the city. The Airport-Downtown Express bus is accessible from the upper level of the main terminal building at Entrance #7. Bus fare is $1.10. Bus fare boxes accept U.S. coins, $1, $5, $10, and $20 bills.
Airport Shuttles
Several shuttle companies service New Orleans International Airport and transport passengers to local hotels. Shuttle fare is $13 per person one-way, or $26 per person round-trip. Each passenger is allowed three bags, and advance reservations are required at least 48 hours before arrival. Reservations are required for more than 10 passengers.
Limousine Services
Reliant Transportation Group services the airport and offers a variety of transportation options which include stretch limousines and corporate sedans. Transportation is provided from the International Airport to cruise ports, Baton Rouge, Gonzales, Port Allen, Baker, Zachary, and Denham Springs. Limo rates are $90 for one or two passengers. Taxi Services
Taxicab rides are available from the airport to the Central Business District at $28 for one or two persons. The price for three or more passengers is $12 per passenger. Taxicabs are located on the lower level of the main terminal outside the baggage claim area. Several taxicab companies have a two-bag maximum per passenger. There is an additional charge for extra baggage.
