If the rental booking could automatically, and CLEARLY notify customers that they absolutely have to use a credit card for their booking, it would save alot of headaches for customers and your alls reps. When I booked mine with a debit card, the confirmation made it seem like everything was fine, and even said to bring the credit/debit card I booked with. It knows I'm doing a way trip. So in this day and age, an automatic warning would be awesome, instead of being told "its the policy" and I should have read it 3 paragraphs down

I never got a car. They said that if the reservation was made less than 24 hours before there were no cars available. Get it together.... don't set up your system to allow reservations if there are no cars available. It reminds me of airlines overbooking flights.

The car was dirty on the inside. Photos were taken. The doors on the inside were visually dirty. One window was so dirty it looked foggy. Also, a second reservation was needed at a different location b/c upon arrival, they had no cars.

The truck I reserved wasn’t available so dealership had me get a more expensive suv. I should have been offered the suv at the same price of my original reserved vehicle. Worker at pick-up had me sign up for me coverage even after tellling him I already signed up for different coverage and I didn’t know I was charged for the extra coverage until after my receipt was emailed to me. Won’t be returning to Enterprise for any future car rentals.

Paid for an SUV, ended up with a Malibu. Back wheels out of alignment, very uncomfortable ride. Reverse camera faulty. Seats both had dirt on them…really gross. Clearly had not been cleaned. Chip on windshield - right in frojt of where driver is looking. Mentioned this on the way out. Currently got 3 different charges pending on my credit card from Avis - why? Still don’t have a final bill/email confirmation from them. Zero contact since drop-off 24 hours ago.

When we picked up the car in Brunswick, we found out that there was no drop box in New Bern Airport NC accessible after 10 PM. Since we had plan to return the car after that time, that forced us to change our travel plans. I really think that these type of restrictions should clearly be stated out at the time of booking so the client knows and can reorganise ahead of time. Very friendly and helpfull personnel in Brunswick.

Pros:

Everything was close by and without hassle. I wanted to save a bit of money so reserved the smallest car I could even though there were 4 of us, and three are 6 foot or taller. They gave us a Suzuki hatchback and it was great. Lots of head room and leg room and very comfortable.

Cons:

The car was a little dirty. I think that's an Alaska thing. We found a sock in the back. Also something we did not know was the high price of the 5 minute ferry ride from airport to Ketchikan. Not the car rental company's fault, but a sticker shock for sure. $70 for 4 people and a car.

I have never waited so long to pick up a car with a reservation already made. The location is either under staffed or they are just so slow. One customer representative specifically and aggressively trying to get costumers to pay more, to upgrade to expensive cars, pay for fast lane, add insurance. He is using fear tactics and it slows down the line highly.

Getting to the Midway rental office from the airport is a bit confusing and poorly marked/explained. You take an airport bus from the arrivals to a parking lot down road from the airport, and then the rental car companies routinely come by and use vans/large SUVs to bring people from that parking lot to their specific rental location. The check out line was long and slow (about 35-40 mins of waiting), but once I got to counter it was smooth and it took 5-10 minutes to get the paperwork filled out. Returning car was fast and easy.

most car rental places at LAX pick you up directly. midway makes you take this bus, operated by the airport, which stops at every terminal and then brings you to a random area which then you get off and then finally head to the rental location. once there, they have no bathroom, and the line moves super slowly. better to spend another $50 per day to avoid this hassle.

They refused to honor my reservation and claimed they had no cars but could make a special opportunity for me at $175 a day. As it was late at night I had to take their high price offer for one day but got them down $106 a day. We switched to Economy Rent-A-Car the next day at $84 for 4 days. Steer clear of Advantage. They are scammers and liars

It was the worst possible experience! The agent, who had no name tag, was very rude and unprofessional. He told me that since I was renting for just one day, I should have gone to Budget or Enterprise. He charged my account twice. He treated my husband and me as if we were trying to steal something. He said that I needed to show proof of residency, so I did, but it had my husband’s name on it. Therefore, I had to add my husband to the reservation, and then he charged me twice the amount that was agreed upon for adding my husband. The entire time, he kept saying, “it would be easier if I canceled your reservation and let you go.” And I left the store without the car!

2 day rental at a very low rate ($48). Expected to be taxed like crazy and pressured for upcharges, but this was a whole new level. Website not working or helpful in preparing an easy counter experience. App useless. At the counter, was told my NY/NJ EZ Pass I brought is useless unless I want to be double-charged. And, “FL no longer accepts cash at tolls, so renting the plate pass for $11/day, unlimited tolls, is cheaper than the fines if you end up on a toll road.” I could have navigated around all tolls on the trip, and there are clearly cash lanes at each toll booth. Plus, I pre-purchased Allianz rental insurance directly to avoid their overpriced option, but was told I could not rent the car without purchasing (at least) their liability option ($20/day). He said I was lucky b/c that is MUCH less than the $59/day full coverage. All in, my 2 day $48 car rental ended up at $128!! Still much less than the Big 3 but nearly 3x what I reserved. Finally, I don’t fully blame Advantage: CLEARLY the State of FL and the county are in on the visitor fleecing.

The car interior smelled of cigarettes, had 60,000 miles on it, was misaligned and wobbly at highway speeds, had scratches on exterior, had severely worn floor mats. I've never had a rental from a major brand that was in such poor condition. Noted these items to Hertz and received a perfunctory form email with no substance. Disappointing.

My reservation was prepaid, the agent asked for the same credit card for the deposit, I didn't have the card at the time, I had other credit cards, but he didn't accept any of my credit cards for the deposit, he ended up making a new rental agreement, he gave me the same vehicle, but ended up charging me $204.15 instead of the $96.15 was was already prepaid. I was not happy with that, I will never use Hertz anymore.

I had a reservation with this bad reputation company, when I got to the counter the agent said he doesn’t have the car I requested, I should either pay extra money to get upgraded car or wait until they got a car, I asked how long I should wait he answered me “might takes hour” trying to enforce me pay them more.

The car i rented was running on some old tires. Two front tires wire was coming off. I had to go to the tire shop to switch out the tire, put my trip on hold. I was suppouse to go skii that day but i couldnt. Very dissapointed.

The check-in process took forever. It was a large line and at the beginning the attendance. Chatting among each other, Delaying the process. Finally, a young man came in. And checked in as many people as the previous to attendance did together. I’ve been to this car rental before, and it brought a memory of the last time we experience the same thing. Very frustrating.

I prepaid for my car only to get to the counter and wait for just under an hour. Once assigned a car, I again waited because I was then told my car was double booked. I finally got a car, and it was a great car. However, after turning it in on time I was charged for 3 additional days because they had me down as driving a completely different car. Definitely will Pay More next time and rent from someone else.

Getting from baggage claim to Payless terminal had to stand in long lines to get on the bus. The customer service agent was very nice and friendly. We ended up getting an electric car, but never told us about what charging stations we could use being not familiar with that type of electric car and where the charging stations were a big problem wasted a lot of time during our driving experience, trying to find chargers that would work.

I arrived 30 minutes early for my reservation and the line was ridiculously long. It took over an hour and fifteen to just talk to someone. I elected to purchase the collision coverage online, only to get there and be told that I also needed to purchase minimum coverage for $30 per day. An additional $150 on top of what I paid online. I budgeted $275 for the rental car to get there and be told that it will be over 50% more expensive!?!? So ridiculous, especially when I am standing in a city with no other options to rent a car at that point. 30 minutes after talking with someone I was given a vehicle with substantial scratches, dents, damage, and a half a tank of gas. This was the worst rental car experience I have ever had. I would NEVER use this rental service again. I feel like I was screwed over and when you are there, have been waiting and have no other options, you just have to pay the extra money for the damaged vehicle and move on. Very terrible experience all around.

Nothing to like. First, I would not rent from ACE again, as the inconvenience is not worth the time. Getting to the location is a hassle. Leaving the terminal, you have to travel/walk 15-20 minutes to get to a pickup area, only to have to call for a pickup. Several people were already waiting for an extended time before I arrived. Next, after getting to the rental location, I had to wait an additional 30 minutes before a vehicle was brought to me. After inspection of the vehicle, it seemed that a previous renter hit the bumper and you can see this on both left & right upper sides. I tried to point this out to someone that worked there and was told video was already taken of the car, so don't worry about it. I then took my own video. The car was not cleaned and looked like it just was wiped down with a cloth instead of being washed. The return wasn't any better, as I wasn't greeted by anyone when I pulled to the return point. I had to seek out an employee and ask, where they told me to leave the car and take the keys inside. I then had to wait as customers were in front of me in line, before a clerk looked up and asked if I was returning. I then gave the keys over and had to wait about 15 minutes more for the next shuttle back to the airport. You must factor in plenty of time if you rent with ACE, and not get frustrated with what appears to be poor process management. Overall, I would have rented directly from the airport onsite locations, instead of ACE if I fly into EWR/Newark airport again.

My flight in was delayed by 4.5 hours. On arrival at the counter, the agent said my reservation has been terminated after not picking up the car within 4 hours of expected time. A car was offered then at a much higher rate. I rebooked at a lower rate thru kayak for immediate pickup. The agent then said it may take over 45 minutes for the new kayak booking to show up in the system, and to wait. After waiting 45 minutes, the agent then said they have no cars available and would not honor either kayak booking. Not a very pleasant way to start the trip, and staff didn't seem sympathetic or interested in finding other solutions. I walked next door and picked up a car from Sixt, which was great.

If I could give AVR a zero rating I would. The staff was rude and very unhelpful. I booked online for a 8am pickup but had changed my flight to a later flight and then that flight got delayed. Finally made it to their location which was off property and used to find. I had final them 4x to figure out where this shuttle was bc there are no signs for their company. When I finally got there, 30 mins to closing they said they gave my reservation away. Then she the lady said “oh sorry we have no cars left (which I saw cars on the lot) and pretty much whooshed me away. I had a family of 7. What a nightmare. I did rebook online with SIXT which was a few blocks and and SIXT was awesome. 😎 Never Ever again with AVR!!!

Took a long time to get the car. First of all, there shuttle only comes to remote rental car center near LAX. You need to take a bus to get there. Then you take there shuttle to get to their office. It took me almost an hour to get the get and be on my way. There were two agents working the desk and they were really helpful but, the whole process was slow. I had to wait a long time.

I didn't know that Economy was located outside of the normal rental car center at San Diego Airport. The information was not evident in the confirmation email from Kayak. We took a shuttle from the airport to the rental car center only to find out we needed to go to another location to get our car. We had to take an Uber there afterwards. We were traveling with two small children so this process was stressful.

getting a ride from airport took half an hour, initial phone contact number didn't pick up, 17 callers wait for call to be answered. At drop off in early morning the office was closed, fortunetly one of the hotel workers saw me and another woman and told us where to park and drove us to airport.There should have been a sign at door directing to Hotel.

Took forever for the shuttle to arrive. The people getting off of the shuttle told me good luck getting a car. When we got to the rental car facility, the customers that were already there had been waiting so long to get their cars, I called an Uber instead so I didn’t miss my appointment. Horrible - do not book with NextCar. They denied my car insurance because I was not the primary policyholder. I have full coverage insurance, so there was no logistical reason to deny it. The supplemental insurance cost as much as the rental itself. I was never told at the time of booking that I would be forced to use their insurance if I wasn’t the primary policyholder. I was only told so 24 hours out from my booking. I’m actively trying to get a refund for this.

I liked and enjoyed the car. The pick up was the worse experience I’ve ever had renting a car. I was told I had to get collision and sign up, get a quote on the spot and pay for it to continue the rental process. Very strange that they don’t have that worked out already. The vehicles were in a shared parking lot. I wasn’t given the paper to hand off to the attendant to receive the vehicle so I had to go back and get it. They only have one shuttle bus so if you miss it you have to wait an hour for the next. It was AWEFUL. I willl never use this company again.

It was really hard to find the shuttle driver and when we did it took us to a sketchy feeling part of town took us into a warehouse and had us talk with a representative with a very heavy accent over a computer screen. We were not told where to bring the car back - turns out we had to find the sketchy warehouse back and they could not take us back to our hotel even though it was closer than the airport.

This was my second time renting with NU. The pros: • Excellent value for money. • Fairly new and reliable vehicles. • Easy to find shuttle. The con (and it’s a biggie for me): • Not having my reserved car class available. The first time they coerced me into paying for an upgrade (complicated reasoning), the second time they told me I could wait until my car class (small SUV, I think) came back or take a free “upgrade” to a full-size 4x4. It turned out to be a giant Jeep Rubicon truck with knobby big tires. But by the time I got to the lot and saw the beast, the thought of going back in and waiting in line for the (only) agent to make a change—and likely be given a song and dance or upsell about lack of other car types available—was not appealing (travel days are hard and stressful; travel providers know this, and can take advantage of exhausted customers). There were a bunch of jeeps on the lot, so I knew they were effectively forcing them on customers. So I took the Jeep. It was awful to drive. Got horrible mileage. Was loud on the road and big for parking lots. It is what it is but I hated it. And I had it for a whole week. • Off-airport location means that once you’re there, if something goes wrong (like not wanting the vehicle offered) you can’t just walk to the next company’s counter and try for something different like you could at the airport.

I had a good experience with Routes this time. It took 10 minutes to be picked up at the rental center even though it was 1 in the morning. The car was great and when I brought the car back they dropped me at the terminal.

Once we made it to the car rental facility via shuttle (all other car rentals are on site…that was the first alarm bell that went off), we had to wait about an hour until our name was called (we were second in line!!). The staff was moving at a snails pace. I almost thought at one point that they were going that slow so we would get frustrated and leave. It almost worked. Once my name was finally called, the guy was going through the contract with me and suddenly it was an additional $120!!! I asked him to explain that to me and there was a $20 daily charge for going to another state (our trip was 1.5 hrs each way) and an $80 fee for insurance. That’s such a scam! Most personal car insurance plans cover rentals. I had to show proof of insurance (had my husband send a pic) and he removed the fee. The gas tank was only half full and I was told to bring it back at that. Also a scam bc it’s harder to control than a full tank, so I brought it back at 3/4 tank. The entire experience was so frustrating. I will pay the few extra dollars to go to a legit car rental for now on. What a joke!

Waited over 1 hour to be picked up at the airport after calling about 10 times only to hear the bus would be there in 5 minutes, got to the pick location another 2 hours to before we got car, place was crowded and you had to write your name down and wait to be called [nobody instructed us] of the procedure, thanks to the other guest that was waiting too. Then they asked for not insurance card, they wanted something else from insurance company that i had to call and get (they didnt specify, they asked for proof of insurance when booking). Guy that checked me in was not pleasant, the same person that checked you in was the same one that had to run outside, find you a car, and check and rub back in to check you in. He told me if i go to Hertz its the same wait so oh well because I complained of waiting so long to be seen. I will never use this place again. Another thing I have yet to receive my $500 deposit and I returned the car from March 18, they claim its the bank and its normally 10 business days. Dont waste your time, you get what you pay for. Company is a joke, go elsewhere.

This was a scam. Deceptive marketing with hidden fees and predatory practices on the consumer. I canceled reservation onsite , didn’t take the car and will never use them or affiliate rental companies. I will never recommend them.

Online your able to pay with an American Express Card. When you get there after a long flight and a a long drive from Mimai Airport to get there....they tell you we do not accept American Express cards. Mr and two other customers went through the same thing...there was a lot of upset people in the same boat...yelling, arguing. I will never use them again! When I went to pickup my car, I had to wait ~1 hour to speak with someone at the desk. The agent I spoke to at the desk lied to me and said that I cannot use my personal auto insurance and had to use their plan. I call their corporate number later and the confirmed that agent was incorrect and refunded my money spent on the insurance. The car they had reserved for me was stuck behind several cars on the lot and inaccessible. Because of this they tried to give me another vehicle in the same class. The replacement they picked had visible damage/dent to the multiple panels, doors, and bumper. I started documenting all the damage in detail and taking pictures, the agent started getting visibly annoyed. He ended up providing me with a different car in the end. When I came time to drop off the vehicle, the lot nearly full and there was a line extending into the street just to enter the lot. I'm still waiting to deposit to be returned and I anticipating that I will need to call their corporate office again. This was an extremely poor experience through and through. I will never rent from Mexrentacar ever again, and I will never recommend their services to anyone.

I probably didn't read the correspondence carefully. My drivers license wasn't sufficient ID and they required a second form of ID. If I hadn't had one on me I would have had to go to another counter to rent. You should make that requirement in BOLD print so I can't skim past it.

Our flight was delayed so we arrived approximately 1.5 hours late. We were unable to reach the company, no phone number available. Was off site and was not going to walk there, as they were suppose to pick us up... never actually got the car and have had 0 communication with them... would NOT recommend..

The car was fine. There was a requirement to have proof of insurance. Not just the declaration page as stated on the walls in the office but the whole policy. This was not clear in the initial rental agreement. Also there were many unclear additional fees.

The vehicle was perfectly fine. Everything other than that and the shuttle driver was terrible. Not able to reach the property. Number listed is in Miami. $2500 deposit hold for 3 weeks despite full coverage insurance is unheard of. Facility is inadequate, seats are in disrepair. Agent is unfriendly. I would highly recommend dropping this company from your vendor list. While my experience panned out, two of the three other groups in their office woth us that morning, were not able to rent for whatever reason. Both were very upset.

We had to call from the airport twice to get a pickup to the rental location which was 10 minute ride . Once there we found out that they did not recognize our insurance and I had to pay $260 for insurance . This now made my rental car more expensive than what was at the airports . Drop off went smooth , but we were dropped off at the rental location other than airport drop off for the airport .

My experience with State Van Rental was ok. The attended was professional and explained there process. What could have been better….. an updated van. I like how the attendant came and picked us up and drop us right off at the drop off area for our flight. In my next travel if a van is needed I will use them again.

This was legitimately the worst experience I have ever had renting a car in my entire life, and I have rented easily 100 cars. The staff was highly unprofessional, coughing, and snorting in my face the entire time, one of the employees lit a joint in the office while I was trying to understand what the first employee was wanting me to do. This was the worst part. They made me, call my insurance and send multiple forms of paperwork via email at 5 o’clock on a weekday to them stating that I had collision coverage that was not commercial. Even though my insurance agent got on the phone with them stating that I had private rental car collision coverage, this would not suffice. They were trying to scam me into purchasing their collision coverage that they offer. They clearly work on commission. It was an absolute nightmare so much so that I was texting the chat on Expedia to get my reservation that was nonrefundable, canceled. I ended up working with Expedia and getting the reservation canceled , leaving in an absolute sweaty mess after almost 2 hours standing there, trying to get an understanding of what they were demanding of me that has never happened before at any other car rental agency in my life. I would run as fast as you can from this company, it was priceless car rental, also known as 24 seven rent a car. Literally, run.

Cons:

Shuttle took forever. All the other car companies had gone out and returned three or more times before ours came. When we got there they tried to make us add $100 in insurance. They did it was in the details of the contract. You have to dig pretty far to find them. So we didn’t take the car. The fees are supposedly non refundable. I’m going to dispute the fee with my credit card. We’ll see how that goes. Do yourself a favor and rent through a company you’ve heard of.

If you do not arrive within 1-2 hours of your reservation time, they give your car away and don't have backups for you! EVERYONE in that arrived on my shuttle were in the same boat; they didn't have any of our vehicles; they were simply telling everyone that their reservation is cancelled, we'll receive our money back (eventually), and we just need to go elsewhere to find a car last minute, at night. IT WAS A DISASTER! Thank God one of the guys working there took pity on my group since I had my 80 year old parents with me, and managed to find another vehicle for us. It was smaller than what we rented, but at least it was a vehicle. I'm thankful to the employee who bent over backwards to find us a vehicle, but York's policy of re-renting everyone's cars if they are not there within 1-2 hours is CRAZY! Everyone else got screwed. It was an awful experience. Oh, it it took HOURS for all of that to get settled. 0/5 stars.

Had to pay an additional $30 to leave the car in long term parking since the office was closed (at 3pm on a Monday) after being told they should have been open! Labor Day! Totally false and the manager would not work with us on it whatsoever even though kayak said they would be open!

They were unable to see that I had pre paid for the car 2 weeks prior so it was a little confusing when I picked up the vehicle as it appeared that I had never paid for the car. Everything else went smooth!

The cars are Filthy inside out. they don't take time to clean them, i had to change 3 cars to finally agree on one. the first one had a bold tires, the second one had scratches all over the car but you can't determine the damages as the body is dirty. the last one was OK with a bad tire sensor that kept displaying an error every time you start the car plus a change oil message that kept prompting. If i have time i would report them to the BBB. Not worth the money i paid. VERY disappointing that kayak list them on their website. i use to trust kayak!

I was a little wary about going with a local car rental agency -- I've gotten cars that weren't clean or smelled smoky. Black & White were extremely polite, professional and prompt. I was picked up in an impeccably clean Suburban, and the car I got (Toyota Corolla) was very clean and worked well. As a female, some of these car rental agencies don't feel safe and seem sketchy, but this agency was not one of them. I would 100% recommend them again, and I will definitely see if they have a car for me the next time I need a car from LAX.

Friendly counter staff, but they were making everyone scan a QR code and give them a 5 star review before they would give you a car. Very odd. They also charged way too much for this car but I needed it and they were the only ones with cars. It’s a fine line between charging what the market will bear and price gouging. The car was smaller (and cheesier) than what I ordered. It was like driving a Coke can. Finally, when my plans changed and I needed to return the car early, they would not refund the difference. They cited a paragraph in their contract, which was literally far too small to read. Overall not a good experience.

Cons:

I arrived at the airport at 7:30pm and called for a shuttle. I called twice with no answer. I took a taxi out an couldn't find the location. I finally got through and the person on the phone said they closed at 5. On my printed out paper, it says pick up till 9pm. I had to make a last minute booking with another company at the airport and paid a 65$ taxi fee for the back and forth. The money I would have saved was not worth this head ache. I am super disappointed the pick up times weren't clearly indicated and I would have arranged myself accordingly. I think kayak should make a better effort in providing better, reliable companies considering their name is associated with them.

Cons:

Waited 45 minutes at the airport for the shuttle. Called ACO several times but no answer. Car engine light came on and the ACO call centre was unable to help me, it being a Sunday. I sent a photo and an email of my concern but received no reply. No windshield washer fluid.

The customer service person had no explanation and offered no help other then to go back online and try again. When I did this I was told there were no cars available. So there I was stuck last minute at the airport getting another car at twice the cost. Never again Kayak

Cons:

Shuttle from airport doesn’t arrive. I called multiple times. No answer, no response to voicemail. Took taxi instead. Hard to find location which is in the middle of nowhere, barely lit and marked Tuff instead of ACO. Got to counter at 7:02 and was told they close at 7 so wouldn’t help me. Also if you are an hour late your entire contract is canceled anyway. So they would not have helped me regardless due to the shuttle bus issue. I was stranded with my toddler and no car. Staff would not even call me a taxi. Thank goodness Lyft was nearby. Terrible staff, terrible service, terrible operation. I wasted $50+ in cab fare thanks to ACO. BEWARE.

They DENIED my my car. I was there within 1 hour after my pick up (their policy is 2) due to a flight delay. The person behind the counter only wanted to close and was frustrated and SWEARING at us! My card was charged for the remtal and insurance, neither of which I could use. I ended up having to pay over 100 in Uber at 11pm at night to get to my hotel and struggled to find transportation. Luckily I found an enterprise who had 1 car left or my entirely trip would have been a complete disaster. I will be contacting customer service for a refund for both the rental fee and the insurance I purchased. What a complete mess.

Absolutely terrible company. If I could give it zero stars, I would. I have asked for a refund and had to go with a different rental upon landing in Florida. They tried to take a $3000 deposit even though we already had external insurance. They advertise that they're in the airport which they are not, and they didn't even offer a shuttle - they told us to Uber. Upon looking at reviews, many people said that they kept and wouldn't return the deposits claiming unreal damages. They also tried to do additional toll charges and other random shady things, that they communicated through text. Also, when they asked for the $3000 deposit, and we tried to escalate it since it was completely unheard of, they didn't say anything and changed the contract back to $500 without telling us (to delete the evidence). Terrible, terrible, terrible company. Pay more and go with a reputable service.

Lots of communication and no wait at the airport. The SLI was very confusing to me since I spoke to my insurance prior to the rental and was assured I had everything I needed, so that cost, which almost double the cost of the rental, was confusing. The car was nice and definitely suited our needs. Drop off was a little difficult since I was given the wrong address in a text, but the took us to the airport right away.

The good: they had a car as promised. The not good: they lured me in with a “too good to be true” price a week prior to arrival; then informed me I needed to carry an absurd amount of insurance on my policy, otherwise I need to purchase their insurance at $35 per day. No effort was made to make me aware of this policy prior to arriving. By then you’ve taken the shuttle way outside the airport; and your basically stuck with a huge bill you weren’t planning on. Better to be upfront with customers re: the real cost of the rental before committing to it. But again, they did have a car available.

Staff was very friendly !! Car was clean and very reliable. Although I was not expecting an extra $230 in fees that I had to pay when I got there. I paid $52 for the 3 days I was going to be there when I made the reservation, but when I got there I had to pay an extra $230. They advertised it to be $7/day + tax which was a great deal so I jumped on it. Because of that I won’t rent from them again. I’ll stick with the rentals at the airport.

Disappointed enough to not request more of your services because I closed the business and when I arrived at the agency they demanded a new insurance and asked me for an extra $650. Everything must be dealt with before, both the price, requirements and documentation and when the client pays, the business is closed, and it is criminal that we cleinyes are surprised when we arrive for what we buy or lease. President Baiden said that these bad practices must end so that there is confidence and business is generated in the country. You are ruining the system. Now I want my money back in full since I had to rent a car elsewhere.

They canceled our reservation that we confirmed. Our flight was delayed and then we had no car. I called them and they had no support or alternatives. We ended up using another company.

I'll never go back to them. All well-known rental car companies typically ask who your insurance company is and you tell them and thats that. In my case Travelllers. This was not enough. They wanted proof, so I called my insurance company and they emailed me my insurance card. This was still not enough either, they wanted the declarations page, so I called again and had that e-mailed which worked. Super inconvenient and the guy behind the counter had the personality of a brick, his English was poor, spoke so fast one could not understand what he was saying and he did not really care about making the experience a pleasant one. I overheard the clients at the counter next to me mention the words, Mickey Mouse company, so I was not the only one disapproving of renting here. Car was ok for the money and clean enough. I wanted to extend and called both numbers on their contract. all 4 times I tried I was placed on hold, and the call was dropped within 5 seconds of being placed on hold, as if it was intentional. So I emailed and asked if an extension was possible at the same rate I had of $15.00 per day. They came back with $50.00 per day and I decided to return the car. I guess that's their prerogative but I chose to return the car and be done with them rather than extend. I'll never use these guys again and the impression I got was that they did not care about future happy clients at all

The rental location is not at the airport, so you need to take 2 different shuttles to get the car. The shuttle that takes you from the rental car center at FLL to the actual rental company location is unmarked and only shows up maybe every 30 min. When you arrive, the process to rent the car is difficult and they require proof of insurance yet they don’t tell you this in advance. Also, there is no local contact phone number for the company. The only number provided is an international number. Overall, a terrible experience.

Pros:

There is no Firefly station at thIs airport. We asked at the information desk and she looked online and saw Rha Hertz bought Firefly so she directed us there. Long lines. We were able to ask someone there if we were in the right place and they told us to go to Thrifty. No lines there but my reservation was not in their system. They took good care of us anyway.

We arrived in Miami and spent 30 minutes trying to find the shuttle to the rental agency (there is no desk in the MIA rental car center). Never found anything and were told by several airport employees that they had either never of Firefly or they thought it was closed. We ended up renting from another agency.

Pros:

The representatives were very nice. I received a prompt call from a very nice person after my complaint about my experience. I was refunded the extra $10.00 I had been charged to get me to the airport in time to catch my flight.

Cons:

Hidden charge - about $4.50 more than quoted by KAYAK. I had to pay $4+ for the inconvenience of waiting longer (they only run every 15 min) for a shuttle; than having to wait 15 mins for another pick up to take me to the car rental. The car was old and smelled. The carpeting was coming away from the floor.

They mixed up my pick up time. I was scheduled to pick up my vehicle at 12 noon, they had me picking up at 2pm. She was adamant about this 2pm pick up time until I showed her my reservation on my phone. After this got worked out, she told me that they not only didn't have the vehicle I requested, they only had one vehicle on site- a gigantic minivan, which isn't ideal for city driving. When returning the vehicle they drop you off about a mile away from the shuttle because, in our driver's words "We don't pay to enter the parking lot" A mile walk carrying luggage at the end of the trip isn't how you want to end a trip.

Got a very dirty car. My pickup appointment was delayed by half hour due to short staffing. When returning the vehicle, i was treated poorly by staff. They weren't attentive in any way. Received a discount but i had to prove the vehicle was dirty...soo glad i took a video.

Cons:

Took me over 40 minutes to get a car. First car I got had broken trunk lock. Instead of replacing this car, stuff starts to guide me how should I close this trunk. Overall, if you want cheap car, this is the place to go. If you want normal service, I wouldn't recommend this place.

It goes through taking name, etc and sends you email that looks a hell of a lot like a reservation (but does say you have to call to confirm). I called 'to confirm' as required, was greeted rudely, transferred to someone else, and then told they didn't have anything available.

It was an absolutely terrible experience. The person I dealt with when picking up was so rude and unprofessional. I was shocked at the additional expenses and how I felt forced into an insurance that seemed like a scam. There were multiple additional expenses that were not explained to me and the woman seemed to think I was foolish for asking for an explanation. I was so nervous about returning the vehicle that I cut my vacation short by an extra day just to get the vehicle back early in case they were difficult again to deal with. So I had to pay $150 for a hotel just to get the vehicle returned early. When I did go to the dropoff, there was another person having the exact same difficult time with staff. It was so wildly upsetting to watch this man struggling with this horrid customer service as well. I will never use this service again and I will attempt to warn others about this experience.

When I arrived, I was told that there was only a two hour window for pickup, and that had expired! The rental agent was exceedingly unhelpful. His suggestion was to return to the airport and rent from someone else. When I called the number on the reservation voucher, I received a similar response. No refund. If I could give a negative rating, this would get it. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!!! THIS IS A COMPLETE SCAM!!!

Charged extra for insurance when my insurance policy covers rentals cars. Told this was because I had insurance from a Canadian company. This was over $90.00 USD. Misled into getting the capped toll fees that were $12 per day when I really only needed the transponder. Ending up spending more on these bogus charges than actual cost of rental. Had to wait quite a while for shuttle pick up. Vehicle needed an oil change and the rear right tire kept losing air, when I called my only option was to drive back to the rental lot. Had to keep adding air to the tire every 2 days.

Staff did not understand the english language, desk was not at the airline terminal as advertised, could not get anyone to pick us up at the terminal, had to make a phone call to get someone to pick us up at the terminal, coverage I paid for was not of any value so I had to buy additional coverage, did not get a car I asked for, took so long to finally get my car I was 3 hours late arriving at my destination.
