Car Rental
Seven rental agencies are located at the airport: Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National and Thrifty. A shuttle bus for every company but Thrifty runs every 15 minutes between each terminal and the central rental office. The stop outside each terminal will be colored green and marked Rental Car. Thrifty has its own shuttles to transport passengers.
Public/Ground Transfer
The TTA Shuttle transports passengers to regional destinations in Raleigh, Durham, Cary and Research Triangle Park for $2 each way, or a $4 all-day pass that includes local bus fare. Greyhound terminals for intercity service are provided by Greyhound at either Durham or Raleigh. Regional Amtrak trains leave from the station in Raleigh.
Airport Shuttles
Courtesy shuttle buses transport passengers between terminals and the airport's Park & Ride lots. Handicapped-accessible services run every 20 minutes from 4am to 1am (or the last flight). Purple buses run to Park & Ride lot 3, while orange buses provide service to Park & Ride lot 4. During busy seasons, lots 2 and 5 may be opened as well for parking, and buses will be provided to those lots as well.
Limousine Services
A number of limousine services are licensed to operate at Raleigh-Durham International, including A-1 Execucoach, A Falcon Ride (based in Durham), Abba Transportation, Action Limousine Service, All American Limousine, All Occasions Limousine (based in Raleigh), A 1 RDU Sedan, Absolute Elegance Limousine, Admiral Limo and Airport Straight Transit (based in Cary).
Taxi Services
Taxis at Raleigh-Durham are operated solely by Dulles Airport Taxi, Inc. They may be scheduled for pick-ups by calling (919) 840-7277; to get from the airport to town, it is easier to wait at a taxi stand outside the arrivals hall, though it is a good idea to get a reservation for a handicap van. All trips within Durham, Wake and Orange counties are metered; typical fares are $25-30 to Raleigh or Durham, and around $35 to Chapel Hill.
