Location. The Sonnenalp Resort of Vail (Colo.), provides elegant, Bavarian style accommodations in the center of Vail Village. Vista Bahn Chairlift is within one block and the Dobson Ice Arena is one half mile away. Ski shuttle service is provided and airport transportation is available for a fee. Hotel Features. The Sonnenalp name, which translates to "Sun on the Mountains," was inspired by the original ranch house in Ofterschwang, Bavaria.
