I rented a car for one day and unlimited mileage and I was charged for two days even after returning the vehicle within the allowed timeframe (just as instructed by the staff) I called the manager for details and I was still charged for the second day. Although friendly, the staff was not well prepared and was misleading.Kyte

We really appreciated the pick-up and drop off at different locations. Car was clean, comfortable, zippy and fuel-efficient. Staff inHoboken was friendly and efficient. It was nice to have the EZ pass for tolls.Cons:
I was expecting a 4-door which would have been easier for us with 3 passengers. We were not sure how the charges would come to us using the EZ pass or whether there will be any extra fees for using it.Budget

The car was great - clean, ran well, and I even had to call Support because I locked the keys inside and they were extremely helpful finding someone’s to help me.Cons:
Only one employee was scheduled on the Tuesday before a busy holiday for traveling and he was expected to manage both Avis and Budget? I didn’t wait too long in the grand scheme of things but you should definitely be more prepared to handle then influx in business for next year. I don’t recall the guy’s name but he did awesome given the circumstances. All I heard then entire time I was waiting was the phone ringing in the background but he didn’t have time to answer it.8.0 Very good

They had a wonderful young lady drive me to the metro after my rental. She was pleasant and professional. The car was ok.Cons:
I arrived later than expected and even though I had confirmed my reservation and they had given my car to someone else. The man at the desk was very dismissive of me. I found him quite rude. They then had to drive me 20min away to another location to pick up another vehicle. The car smelled so strong of air freshener that it made me nauseous.Hertz

Windshield whipper fluid, any would be nice. I drove through a winter storm through the Catskills for 20 miles to get to a gas station to clean my windshield and buy fluid. Scariest moment I’ve had driving, like low fluid I get. This was bone dry note to sell probably the economy wasn’t the best choice to rent for the snow10.0 Wonderful

I didn’t like anything because I never received any service or a vehicle. I was there on time maybe even 30 min before pick up but never got a vehicle I was told to wait atleast one hour and added to the wait list. So I went to eat by the time I got back they were closed for the day.Cons:

Cons:
I rented a car to go to my best friend's bridal fitting. When I went to pick up the car, I was told there were none available and I would have to wait at least an hour an a half. The on-site manager was completely unsympathetic. When I asked why there were a number of cars in the lot available, he said he couldn't give me any of those because they were all reserved (as my car was also supposed to be). He gave me the phone number for another manager, who was better, but the only solution was for me to drive to another Hertz location 20 minutes away to pick up a car. By the time I finally got a car, it was an hour and 20 minutes after my reservation time and I was 20 minutes further away from where I need to go, causing me to miss the appointment. I was also promised compensation for all of the issues, but have yet to receive anything and paid full price for my reservation. The car itself was also very dirty inside when I got it.8.0 Very good
