Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport - IAH
Frequent flyers should be made aware of the new EZ-Tag program that can save valuable time when leaving the parking garages. There are five parking garages that offer more than 25,00 spaces. EZ-Tag is used for those who frequently travel to the airport or down the toll highway. The sticker contains a magnetic strip that deducts fees immediately from a person's account and raises the gate instantly so that there is no reason to stop a vehicle for more than seconds. For those who are interested in this program, more information can be found at https://www.hctra.org/. A minimum pre-pay balance of $40 must be made when applying.
For those picking up passengers, head to the Cell Phone Lot off Will Clayton Parkway. The parking is free, though drivers cannot leave their cars, and wait for incoming flights. Once a passenger has arrived, they simply call their awaiting driver who then drives up to the curbside to pick them up. This prevents congestion along the curbs and airport roadways.
Long Term Parking
Long Term Parking is available in all parking garages. The main parking garages charge $13 per day. Sure Park areas (for members only) are $15 per day. Sure Park requires a $200 application fee, but those who apply for membership are guaranteed a parking space in Terminal C's parking garage, access a private parking garage entrance, and get parking close to the elevators. Parking Cents is the least expensive at $6 per day and can fit large vehicles.
Discount Airport Parking
Parking Cents is the Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport's discounted parking lot. The Parking Cents lots are great for those driving large vehicles like RVs, vans, and campers. The lot is located at the corner of JFK Boulevard and Greens Road and has free shuttle service to the airport. Rates in the Parking Cents lot is $2 for the first three hours and then a flat rate of $6 per day for stays that are longer than three hours.
Handicapped Parking
Vehicles displaying proper handicapped stickers or plates may park in the handicapped spaces found in all of the parking lots and parking garages. The spaces are located closest to the walkways and shuttles whenever possible. There are limited handicapped parking places, so it is often best to call ahead and see if there are open spots or drive straight to Parking Cents and use their free shuttle. For those who need further assistance, white courtesy telephones are found throughout each terminal providing handicapped passengers with the disabled travelers' assistance desk.
Airport Hotel Parking
Houston's Airport Marriott Hotel is the only hotel in Houston that is connected to the airport. The hotel is located in the center of the airport between Terminal B and Terminal C and hotel guests reach the hotel via an underground tram located below the baggage claim in Terminal C. As the most convenient, this is usually the first choice among passengers looking for convenience. Free parking is an added perk.
Additional hotels offering park and fly programs include Comfort Suites Houston Intercontinental Airport, Days Inn Intercontinental North Houston, Country Inn & Suites Houston Intercontinental Airport, Clarion Inn George Bush Intercontinental, Airport Inn, Sleep Inn Houston Intercontinental Airport, and Econo Lodge Airport IAH. These hotels usually provide at least seven days of parking and a free shuttle to take guests to and from the airport.
