Fairbanks International Airport - FAI
Main Terminal
The Fairbanks International Airport terminal is undergoing redevelopment. For now the existing terminal is fully operational, but over the next couple of years, certain sections of the building will be torn down and operations will begin moving in to the new building. There are a restaurant and lounge on the second floor of the terminal after the security checkpoints where passengers can wait for their flights. Also, those needing cash will find the two ATMs to be very handy.
Currently, the airport offers flights with Air North, Alaska Airlines, Arctic Circle Air, Bettles Air, BP/Conaco Phillips Charter, Condor, Delta (Summer only), Era, Frontier, Northwest (Summer only), and PenAir. Flights go to and/or from Anchorage, Barrow, Barter Island, Dawson, Fort Yukon, Galena, Kotzebue, Kuparuk, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Nome, Oakland, Old Crow, Portland, Prospect Creek, Prudhoe Bay, Ruby, Salt Lake City, San Francisco, San Jose, Seattle, Vancouver, and Whitehorse.
Terminal Maps
There are currently no quality terminal maps during the renovations, but passengers can look at the construction plans to see what is open and what areas are closed. Construction Phases
Additionally, the FAA has an airport map. It is a little fuzzy, but it gives a good idea on the roadways and building set up.
