Denver International Airport - DEN

Unfortunately, there is no train service that can take passengers into or out of Denver International. All available transportation options entail using either public or private vehicles operating over the Denver highway system.

Car Rental

DIA passengers have a choice of several car rental agencies including Advantage, Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National, Payless, and Thrifty. All car rental service counters are located on Level 5 of the Jeppesen Terminal.

Public/Ground Transfer

Because many people fly into Denver on their way to and from Rocky Mountain destinations such as Estes Park and Vail, there are shuttles and limo services that operate from DIA to these destinations.

Because of the huge numbers of possible destinations and carriers, DIA has a page on their Web site that travelers can access to view and choose between different ground transportation options. The page asks the traveler to enter a destination, and then provides the different categories of options (taxi, bus, limo, etc) that are available. Within each option category, it details specific companies to contact. For the most part, this site does not contain rate information, so travelers may have to make some phone calls to obtain rates. Airport Shuttles

There are a large number of Airport Shuttles serving DIA. Vehicles most often used are passenger vans, although some shuttles operate full-sized buses. While airport shuttles are normally significantly less expensive than either taxis or limos, they are not as convenient. You must share the ride with other passengers, and the small vans may be crowded and uncomfortable. Last, you do not have control over your pickup and drop-off times. The rule when using airport shuttles is to allow plenty of time.

Limousine Services

There are also a large number of limo companies serving DIA. Limos are hard to beat when it comes to comfort; for those willing to pay the higher rate for a private car, it is extremely convenient as you will be chauffeured door-to-door. Sharing a car will reduce the price, but is less convenient.
