The building is in excellent condition and looks almost new. Located within the suburb of Geylang, though this area is the officially designated red-light district, it does not have a sleazy image. Families and couples come here for its good food and fruit shops. Walking down the streets is as safe as any part of Singapore. This is as close as you can get to the alternative side of Singapore.
