Somewhere between chiang mai and mae hong son lies the town of pai, and the resort is one of the few upscale properties in the area. The area is gaining popularity with backpackers interested in trekking and rafting on the pai river, but mostly it is a quiet town. Paicome is located close to the pai airport, alternatively guests can take a bus from chiang mai to arrive in the area. Nearby attractions include the lisu hill tribe village, mor paeng waterfall, and two national parks. The best way to explore pai is on foot, or you can do the next best thing, and hop on a bicycle to get the feel of the town. Heavy use of bamboo and other natural materials can be seen in use at the resort, from day beds to vases and even walls in some cases. Paicome, is an excellent hideaway resort in one of the most unspoiled areas of the country.
