Description:
Perhaps the most elegant and peaceful Vermont Inn we have seen! This Historic turn-of-the-century mansion, once occupied by a princess, has been restored to its original Victorian elegance. It is tastefully decorated with period furnishings, orientals, delicate accessories, and interesting collections. Private baths, antiques, brass and carved wood beds with luxurious Eurpoean feather bedding, grace the guest accommodations. We were served a wonderful multi-course breakfast, including fresh fruit, hot oatmeal, and the main course. All this at a table aglow with interesting conversation, International guests, and a breathtaking view of the Green Mountains. After breakfast we strolled to the woodland pond, hiked through mountain trails, and into town with its five covered bridges. An experience you will always remember!
