Cons:

when I got to Hertz on pickup day they stated they did not have a car for me even though I had reserved and paid for rental, after raising hell and stating I wasn't leaving till I got a car they found one. When I returned to drop off car at designated time there was a note on the door stating they would be right back. I waited 45 min for them to return and they were to close in 10 min. POOR SERVICE NEVER AGAIN

Pros:

The process of dropping the truck and picking up the car was a nightmare. The rental location scheduled to open at 8:00 am was not staffed until about 10:20 am. When we arrived there were over 10 people ahead of us who had been there since before 8:00 am. The delay in staff arriving to work caused an enormous delay in my ability to get to work. I was late and had to cancel clients. And my friend was over 3.5 hours late leaving town for the 6 hour drive.

Cons:

When we called the emergency number we received no help, no compensation, etc. Nothing. There wasn’t even a way to drop off the truck we were turning in- no lock box or key drop off. So it’s not like we could drop the truck and go to another rental location. We were stuck.

They kept trying to upcharge us for everything! Our original price went from $140 to like $400 before I said no to all extra charges. The drop off location was also INCREDIBLY difficult to find.

The vehicle I reserved had an inoperative AC compressor. Alamo quickly substituted an equivalent vehicle but the new car was EXTREMELY dirty from the previous family and had not likely been cleaned by Alamo. I was in an rush to depart for our family trip so I could not take the time to have Alamo clean the car. During the course of the rental period, I detailed the interior which was filthy and washed the outside of the vehicle. As I was returning the car at Orlando International Airport, the attendant asked me if I was happy with the rental. I explained what happened and what I had done. He instantly apologized and then offered to compensate me with a discount on the rental. I was overwhelmed and shocked that he would offer that to me without my asking. It shows how serious Alamo is about customer satisfaction. I would rent from Alamo any time I am on travel. Keep up the great work!

This was the worst car experience I ever had. My reservation was for 12pm but the car rental agency is. closed from 12pm - 2pm. When we showed up at 2pm they said because it had been two hours the reservation was cancelled and the car was already resold. BUT ITS NOT POSSIBLE as they were closed so how did they sell the car. Anyway they almost ruined our vacation but luckily there was a RENT - A - CAR across the street with a super friendly staff and ended up being cheaper. NEVER USE ALAMO IN DAX

Pickup and return of the rental car to the CVG Cincinnati airport was superb. Returning a car quickly is so important with the pressure of getting it done before the flight time. The staff I worked with at CVG was excellent both in picking up the car and returning it.

Car was good and price was great , although the waiting times to pick up the car was quite high since only one person was working. In addition the worst part was when the drop off occured where there was no physical person and the car park was full and there was no space to park the car safely, we called the appropriate number but there was no people speaking proper English to guide us had to leave the car in a bad way parked which stressed us as all sorts of issues could occur, can expect one floor of car park to accommodate all the rentals.

Loved the 2024 Subaru Outback and a dream car to drive with 7k miles. Last rental with Alamo 2 weeks ago was a old Malibu with too many miles and should be retired. First experience with Dollar and a 10 star everyone was so nice!

This would have been a good experience apart from two things: 1) the repeated pestering texts and e-mails insisting that I check in online in advance, which I tried to do but the system didn't work; and 2) HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I waited for over half an hour to speak to someone in India who was hard to understand and then in the end said she couldn't do anything to change my pick-up time because I had booked through a third party service, and gave me a non-functional phone number to try to reach the airport desk. What a pity. The car was fine and the airport pick-up staff were fine. But I will never use Dollar again because that company wouldn't let those people just do their job.

Pros:

I loved how friendly everyone was. We even got a ride home when we dropped off the car and I really enjoyed the fun conversation on the way home.

Pros:

The representative was friendly. He got me in a car quickly . The car I had reserved wasn't available. He waived the basic I!sirance coverage because the car he had told me was available.

Cons:

I returned the cat, the representative charged me for the basic insurance. This representative said the fee shouldn't been waived. The inconsistency was annoying.
