Payless has great customer service for the situation we were out in. The insurance prices are crazy but at the end of the day it wasn’t Payless fault. This is a country requirement that we did understand prior to booking. The pick up was easy and Luis was great!! Drop off was simple as well and super friendly. Car was cleaned when we picked up and that was appreciated.

The check-in process took forever. It was a large line and at the beginning the attendance. Chatting among each other, Delaying the process. Finally, a young man came in. And checked in as many people as the previous to attendance did together. I’ve been to this car rental before, and it brought a memory of the last time we experience the same thing. Very frustrating.

I prepaid for my car only to get to the counter and wait for just under an hour. Once assigned a car, I again waited because I was then told my car was double booked. I finally got a car, and it was a great car. However, after turning it in on time I was charged for 3 additional days because they had me down as driving a completely different car. Definitely will Pay More next time and rent from someone else.

Getting from baggage claim to Payless terminal had to stand in long lines to get on the bus. The customer service agent was very nice and friendly. We ended up getting an electric car, but never told us about what charging stations we could use being not familiar with that type of electric car and where the charging stations were a big problem wasted a lot of time during our driving experience, trying to find chargers that would work.

Payless always comes through, the pickup and dropoff process is fast and easy never any issue.. The payless cars are very updated and reliable, the price is always affordable and the deposit is always given back as soon as you drop it off, no extra charges or fees.. I highly recommend them, been using them for the past 3 yrs everytime i travel and not 1 issue..

I am not sure why your site offers deals on cars that are not there. I rented a transit van, only to find out it wasn't available. When I asked about a refund I was told to contact Kayak. When I asked for help locating another transit I was told I would have to call around. Plain and simple do not advertise items you don't have!

We specifically needed a SUV and that is what we reserved. When we went to pick it up, they did not have one. The clerk told us they accept all reservations whether they have the car or not. This is the second time this has happened with Enterprise. It is the last time we will reserve a car with them.

Drop off was easy.

Cons:

Pick up was disorderly. Car was not clean inside. I even verified they had time to clean it well because it looked like they had just ran it through the carwash. He said yes. When I got home I spent an hour cleaning it because there was trash and obvious smear marks on the windows and such from the previous user. Given that we are in the middle of a pandemic with COVID-19 this was highly disappointing.

I didn’t get a vehicle. There were only two vehicles available and I was only eligible to get a van. I requested a car for gas mileage and a van was not an option. Also, there was only 1 staff member working. Poor management at that location.

Pros:

Drop off was easy. Pick up was odd because I was told they didn’t have the correct SUV I ordered so I was going to be given a larger vehicle. I didn’t want a larger one so I said I would take a smaller for gas mileage. I was then told I could just wait five minutes and the vehicle I originally ordered would be ready. Then the worker went behind the store and drove around the suv I had ordered. I just found it a little strange. Why didn’t they give it to me in the first place?

Back window of car was filthy at pickup. At first I thought it was humidity but it was dirt. Drivers seat was very uncomfortable, but it was a cheap car with a cheap rate. I rented for two weeks, Tuesday until Tuesday. I returned the car on Saturday after hours but called before the return. I was assured that I would be credited for the early return. I called again a week ago and was told the credit would take a couple days. Still waiting for my credit from Hertz. The rental desk could not look up my Hertz Gold card number and I called in during my rental and no one could credit my gold card with the rental. Incompetent.

Pros:

I confirmed a rental through priceline to pick up a car on a Thursday and return Sat. at 5 pm. As we were completing the paperwork, we were told it would cost [more than!] twice as much because the office closed at noon Sat. and was closed on Sunday. We had no choice but to rent a car for TWO days that we didn't need even though all our paperwork and confirmation agreement was different. We are requesting a refund, which is causing us all sorts of problems. Hertz says it's price line's fault.

Pickup and return of the rental car to the CVG Cincinnati airport was superb. Returning a car quickly is so important with the pressure of getting it done before the flight time. The staff I worked with at CVG was excellent both in picking up the car and returning it.

Car was good and price was great , although the waiting times to pick up the car was quite high since only one person was working. In addition the worst part was when the drop off occured where there was no physical person and the car park was full and there was no space to park the car safely, we called the appropriate number but there was no people speaking proper English to guide us had to leave the car in a bad way parked which stressed us as all sorts of issues could occur, can expect one floor of car park to accommodate all the rentals.

Loved the 2024 Subaru Outback and a dream car to drive with 7k miles. Last rental with Alamo 2 weeks ago was a old Malibu with too many miles and should be retired. First experience with Dollar and a 10 star everyone was so nice!

This would have been a good experience apart from two things: 1) the repeated pestering texts and e-mails insisting that I check in online in advance, which I tried to do but the system didn't work; and 2) HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I waited for over half an hour to speak to someone in India who was hard to understand and then in the end said she couldn't do anything to change my pick-up time because I had booked through a third party service, and gave me a non-functional phone number to try to reach the airport desk. What a pity. The car was fine and the airport pick-up staff were fine. But I will never use Dollar again because that company wouldn't let those people just do their job.
