Pros:

Yes they were very friendly and helpful. The rates were excellent.

Cons:

Could have had a later closing time on a Sunday. Closed at noon and it was a little crowded at closing. Only one person could rent out vehicles. The other two had yet to be allowed to do so. But overall very pleased with the experience.

The manager was very helpful and patient. He explained and helped during both pick up and drop off while assisting other cusomers too. Very much appreciate it! We wanted a toyota rav but he recommended a newer nissan and we were really happy with how well it served through the tough roads of new mexico and grand canyon parks in arizona.. Thanks!!

I liked the car and the price that I paid for the rental.

Cons:

When I pick up the car they told me that I could request a drop off service to take me back to my work, they even told me about the 5 miles radio policy , then the day I drop off the car I asked for it and they didn't want to take me back to my work place even after I reminded them about our previous conversation, I had to call an uber. My work it's a 4.5 miles, what I didn't like is that they just said they were busy a d dismiss me with out even try to help me.

Pros:

Got what we asked for - a van, preferably the Chrysler Town and Country or Dodge Caravan (it was the Dodge). Vehicle was in okay shape and service was acceptable.

Cons:

The rate changed from what was quoted ($444 for 6 days) to what we were charged ($648), both before tax. I have taken up this issue with Avis customer service. VERY disappointed in that.

Cons:

We reserved a 7 passenger mini van as we had 7 passengers plus luggage for a family trip. When we arrived we were told no minivans were available (ummm isn’t that the point of a reservation???). We were given an arcadia with a “third row” we had to find out when we went to load up it had 6 seat belts. Called 8 different times and finally was told they would trade us out for a 7 passenger Ford Flex. When we came back to exchange, we were told the flex was gone, but we could have a 7 passenger Chevy, which had enough seat belts and room for luggage... That would have been fine, but he went to ring it up and it had a recall, so wouldn’t let us have it. They also had 3 minivans on site they “couldn’t rent”. We ended up having to squish a 3rd person illegally in the backseat without a seatbelt and terrible ride experience. If you can not honor your rental, don’t take reservations. Completely unacceptable.

I had to pickup a rental on short notice. I found a vehicle using Kayak and I was referred to Hertz car rental. I found a $70 car rental for 2 days and with tax and fees + insurance it ended up being around $160. Once I returned the vehicle at the airport (Dallas Love field), the Hertz staff was quick and very adamant about charging me for damage to the vehicle that was already documented prior to renting the vehicle… I had to repeatedly show him that the damage was documented by Hertz through the pre-vehicle check by another Hertz employee. After a few minutes he finally gave up. But he did make sure to charge me the fuel fee because the tank wasn’t exactly at the same fuel level when rented. I understand to be charged if I were to leave the fuel tank on empty, but after fueling the vehicle and still having to drive to the airport from the gas station I was bound to use the 7 miles, forcing it to be under what I originally picked it up with. I hope Hertz or Kayak can help this frustrating situation. A 2 day $160 rental turned into $211 rather quickly. Very upsetting experience.

Customer service was helpful. However it took asking for a supervisor to assist me. They did compete me for their mistake.

Cons:

We reserved and prepaid for our car a month in advance. Got a call the day before we were supposed to go pickup the car (5 min before they closed for the day) to tell us that they didn’t have a car for us, but to call back tomorrow morning at 8 am. Long story short, after 3 hours of calling and begging we were able to get a car at a different location. I was told to just cancel the reservation and try again. Called the hertz corporate office and spoke to their customer service and a supervisor and they finally found us a car. In the end it worked out but it was a very stressful day We picked up the car at 5pm ( we were supposed to pick it up at 12) and left for our trip.

The vehicle I reserved had an inoperative AC compressor. Alamo quickly substituted an equivalent vehicle but the new car was EXTREMELY dirty from the previous family and had not likely been cleaned by Alamo. I was in an rush to depart for our family trip so I could not take the time to have Alamo clean the car. During the course of the rental period, I detailed the interior which was filthy and washed the outside of the vehicle. As I was returning the car at Orlando International Airport, the attendant asked me if I was happy with the rental. I explained what happened and what I had done. He instantly apologized and then offered to compensate me with a discount on the rental. I was overwhelmed and shocked that he would offer that to me without my asking. It shows how serious Alamo is about customer satisfaction. I would rent from Alamo any time I am on travel. Keep up the great work!

This was the worst car experience I ever had. My reservation was for 12pm but the car rental agency is. closed from 12pm - 2pm. When we showed up at 2pm they said because it had been two hours the reservation was cancelled and the car was already resold. BUT ITS NOT POSSIBLE as they were closed so how did they sell the car. Anyway they almost ruined our vacation but luckily there was a RENT - A - CAR across the street with a super friendly staff and ended up being cheaper. NEVER USE ALAMO IN DAX

Payless has great customer service for the situation we were out in. The insurance prices are crazy but at the end of the day it wasn’t Payless fault. This is a country requirement that we did understand prior to booking. The pick up was easy and Luis was great!! Drop off was simple as well and super friendly. Car was cleaned when we picked up and that was appreciated.

The check-in process took forever. It was a large line and at the beginning the attendance. Chatting among each other, Delaying the process. Finally, a young man came in. And checked in as many people as the previous to attendance did together. I’ve been to this car rental before, and it brought a memory of the last time we experience the same thing. I prepaid for my car only to get to the counter and wait for just under an hour. Once assigned a car, I again waited because I was then told my car was double booked. I finally got a car, and it was a great car. However, after turning it in on time I was charged for 3 additional days because they had me down as driving a completely different car. Getting from baggage claim to Payless terminal had to stand in long lines to get on the bus. The customer service agent was very nice and friendly. We ended up getting an electric car, but never told us about what charging stations we could use being not familiar with that type of electric car and where the charging stations were a big problem wasted a lot of time during our driving experience, trying to find chargers that would work.

Payless always comes through, the pickup and dropoff process is fast and easy never any issue.. The payless cars are very updated and reliable, the price is always affordable and the deposit is always given back as soon as you drop it off, no extra charges or fees.. Easirent did not post their hours. When we arrived at the airport the only thing we could do was rent from another car company. They closed at 6pm and our plane landed at 6:05. Instructions were unclear and hopefully I am not charged as I will dispute the charges since no services were rendered.

Nothing was good. I will never use them again, or Kayak for that matter. There was no (obvious) mention of the fact that the facility closes at 6 pm. No other airport rental car facility closes that early. My flight landed at 5:50 and by the time I got off the plane and called for thier (call-to-arrange) shuttle, they had closed and there was no one even answering the phone at 5:59 pm. I had to Uber all over town to dinner, hotel, meetings, lunch and back to the airport. Never had a more worthless rental car experience.
